Thanks to a Frisco Kids reader for recommending the Sonoma County Book Festival this Saturday. It's free, and families will enjoy readings, music, special events for kids in the Children's Tents, new and used books for sale, and the chance to meet real authors!
The children's area features authors like Uncle Dave, Tina Stollberg, Hillary Homzie, Shirely Castro, Jennifer Caloyeras and Elisa Klevin. I had the privilege to attend a talk/presentation by Elisa Klevin a few years ago with my daughter. She's an illustrator as well a an author and I really enjoy her books.
It's great for kids to meet authors and learn how the books were conceived and written. If you have a chance to make it to the festival, you won't regret it!
