Coming Up: California Coastal Clean-up Day

Get outdoors and do some good! It's time for the California Coastal Clean-up Day. Last year, more than 70,000 volunteers cleaned up 1.6 million pounds of trash and recyclables from California beaches and lakes.

This year, you and the kids can join them. Each county lists its own sites. For example, in San Mateo County, you can go to San Gregorio State Beach, Pescadero, Half Moon Bay, Burlingame, Belmont and more.

In Marin, many sites including McNear's Beach, Marin City Marsh, Drakes Beach, Stinson Beach...

Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m. to noon.
