Slumber Party Cake

This is the second in a cake series from my friend Linda - I'm now going to call her the cake doctor, because she's a doctor by day, and makes awesome cakes for her kids too - she's very talented.

Frisco Kids last featured her Bakugan cake, but this is her latest creation: the slumber party cake. Guess what kind of party her daughter had?

Here she used a 9”x13” base and then 8”x8” cake bed. She used white frosting tinted with Wilton food gel coloring. She purchased Wilton fondant (at Michael's Arts & Crafts), rolled out for the sheets and covers, as well as the stars, hearts and words at on the base. She also used the fondant for all the faces. For the hair she used a garlic press – very creative! By the way, she purchased the fondant already tinted, which made the process easier.

While Linda purcahsed fondant, you can make your own with this Wilton recipe or this recipe for rolled fondant.
Here are some other cakes featured on Frisco Kids
