I know, the title line doesn't do the event justice. But if you care about public education in California, this actually could be quite interesting.
The San Mateo-Foster City Education Foundation is hosting a free educational forum and screening of John Merrow’s documentary, “California Schools: America’s Future,” an update to “First to Worst, the Roots of California’s Education Crisis”.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Peabody Award winner, John Merrow. Panelists include San Mateo-Foster City District Superintendent, Dr. Pendery Clark, San Mateo County Superintendent, Dr. Jean Holbrook, former State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Delaine Eastin, and former State Assemblyman, Gene Mullin. San Mateo-Foster City School Board Trustee, Lory Lawson will emcee.
When: Wednesday, September 23 from 7-9 p.m.
