Bone Marrrow Drive this Saturday in San Mateo - No Pain!

Please get your bone marrow tested this Saturday, if you're at all able (or register to do it on another day). It's PAINLESS and could save a life.

In this case, the life might be Sam's, a kindergartener in San Mateo, who was recently diagnosed with severe Aplastic Anemia. This is a rare blood disorder in which the bone marrow doesn't produce healthy blood. His best chance for a cure is a bone marrow transplant.

A bone marrow donor registration drive is being held this Saturday to help Sam.

When: Saturday, May 30, 2009
Time: 9am-1pm
Where: First Presbyterian Church, San Mateo (25th & Hacienda Avenues)

The test is quick, only a simple cheek swab with a Q-tip is needed. That swab puts you into the National Registry so that you could possibly save a life, even if it's not Sam's.

If you can't go to the donor drive, register online from June 8-22 at www.bethematch.org. Click "JOIN NOW" and use promo code: 2SAVESAM
