I've been coming across a lot of things lately that can make your life as a Bay Area parent easier. Have you used any of these? Please post here if you do, or if you have your own to add.
RedRover - this free app lets you discover great events and activities to do with your kids, from your phone (helpful while you're out running around). You can search by date, location, kids' ages, interests or what's popular. Plus it suggestions for nearby places to shop and eat - perfect when you want to grab a bite to eat before or after your activity. We partnered with RedRover and are providing some of the events you see on Frisco Kids, on RedRover. Check it out. It's only on Apple products for now. You can get it here or access it via your computer.
Nextkids is opening in San Francisco. This is a workspace for parents, with attached childcare. There used to be a few places like this (like Cubes and Crayons which no longer is open).
Like going to the spa but hate finding a sitter? Spruce Salon and Spa just opened in Oakland, and they have babysitting on site.
Are you going into San Francisco during a festival, for work or just a night out, and worried about finding a parking place? Check out Park Please, a website/app where locals can list their private parking spots and you can find a spot that might be available and even cheaper than lots. You can guarantee your spot, which makes life much less stressful. I haven't yet tried this system, so please let me know your thoughts if you do!
