Coming Up: SFUSD community budget meetings

Thanks to my friends at SF CityMommy for alerting us to these important San Francisco Unified School District community budget meetings. The district thinks it will need to CUT $113 million from its budget over the next two years.

If you're concerned about this, please consider going to a community budget meeting run by the district. Upcoming meetings are below:

Learn about the largest cuts to education funding in California history and discuss ways our district can address these cuts.

March 10, 2010; 6-8pm Thurgood Marshall High School; 45 Conkling St. (near Silver Ave.)
March 11, 2010; 6-8pm Francisco Middle School; 2190 Powell St. (at Francisco St.)

Free Childcare and Spanish and Chinese interpretation will be available at all events - please call (415) 249-9293 to reserve.
