Coming up this Saturday - Folksy Family Saturday at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art.
It's in conjunction with the museum's exhibit - Rhythm and Hues: Cloth and Culture of Mali. Award-winning children's book author, illustrator and storyteller, Baba Wagué Diakité joins the museum for a booksigning, storytelling, and snacks.
His books received a Coretta Scott King Honor, an Ana ALA Notable Children's Book award, and Center for Children's Books Blue Ribbon. His best-sellers include I Lost my Tooth in Africa, The Magic Gourd, The Hatseller and the Monkeys, The Hunterman and the Crocodile.
When: Saturday, March 6 from noon - 5 p.m.
Where: Museum of Crafts & Folk Art - 51 Yerba Buena Lane
Cost: free with admission ($5/adult - kids under 18 are free)
