Coming Up: Golden Gate Express at Conservatory of Flowers

The Golden Gate Express, last year's popular train show in the the Conservatory of Flowers, is back.

The model trains and cable cars wend their way through the conservatory's foliage and dwarf plants, while zipping past mini versions of San Francisco landmark buildings. Included are Ghirardelli Square, the Transamerica Pyramid, Ferry Building, the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower and Chinatown's dragon gate.

These monuments were made from recycled and repurposed materials like corks, wine boxes, cheese graters, cutlery and more. For example, the Ferry Building and Transamerica Pyramid are studded with more than 600 computer keys.
