Yosemite Valley in winter with kids - Yosemite offers a lot of winter fun (especially if there's snow). That includes tubing, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, ice skating and winter hiking. You can stay in the Ahwahnee Lodge or cheaper options.
Tahoe - this world-class ski site is great from toddlers through teens. I have a long list of things you can do in Tahoe, from the usual skiing and tubing, to museums, sleigh riding, and shopping.
Disneyland - my stand-by favorite. And now Cars Land is open at California Adventure.
