Aquanfest in San Mateo is the Bay Area's largest paddlefest/adventure sport green fair. Fair admission is free, but there's a fee if you want to participate in the clinics and demonstrations. Clinics/demos include kayaking with kids, stand up paddle, intro to kayak, stroking and kayak fishing. You can see the schedule here. The fair features environmental groups, and there's a BBQ to benefit the Burn Foundation, held by the San Mateo County Firefighters.

When: Saturday-Sunday, June 22-23, 2012 from 10-4
Cost: Fair admission is free. A superpass is $10/person, $25/family.
