Foster City's Hillbarn Theater is producing the family-friendly show
Holes
. We recently got the book at home, and can't wait to read it, because it's written by one of our favorite authors,
Louis Sachar
. He wrote
Sideways Stories from the Wayside School
among others. They're brilliantly funny for both adults and kids.
Holes
is a "modern grown-up fairy tale" featuring Stanley Yelnats (you'll notice that his name is the same backwards and forwards). The story involves a family curse and Camp Green Lake. The book was turned into a movie, and now a play, so it's got to be good!
When: January 27 - February 13, 2011
Where: Hillbarn Theater (1285 E. Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City)
Cost: $10 youth (17 and under), $30/adults (all the seats are good - it's a small theater)
