Foster City's Hillbarn Theater is producing the family-friendly show Holes. We recently got the book at home, and can't wait to read it, because it's written by one of our favorite authors, Louis Sachar. He wrote Sideways Stories from the Wayside School among others. They're brilliantly funny for both adults and kids.
Holes is a "modern grown-up fairy tale" featuring Stanley Yelnats (you'll notice that his name is the same backwards and forwards). The story involves a family curse and Camp Green Lake. The book was turned into a movie, and now a play, so it's got to be good!
When: January 27 - February 13, 2011
Where: Hillbarn Theater (1285 E. Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City)
Cost: $10 youth (17 and under), $30/adults (all the seats are good - it's a small theater)
