  1. I regularly sing about how a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down (especially as a nurse.) Thanks for the giveaway. I'm off to track down some of the answers.

  2. I remember I played the record on my small record player until I literally wore it out. My parents bought me a dress up kit of Mary Poppins complete with her hat with cherries - I loved that costume and used to get my umbrella and pretend I was jumping into chalk pictures with Bert. Good times!

  3. That is funny LWK--I had a hand-me-down record player like that too on which I played the record my mother gave to me with Chim-Chim-Cheree and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious on it. My favorite memory from my childhood is just how happy all the music made me in general. Now my best memory is seeing my own children enjoy reading all the Travers - Poppins books (8 in all), watching the film, singing the songs together and "meeting Mary Poppins and Bert" at Disneyland!

  4. I have always loved the idea of being able to fly places simply with wind power and an umbrella. Haven't yet let go of that dream. Also I remember being quite proud when I finally mastered the words to "Supercalifragilistic..." I sang it all the time!

  5. Mary Poppins was the very first movie I saw and have such fond memories. I grew up singing the songs. And now I see my children asking to see the movie over and over again, singing those very same songs. My kids crack up when they see the scene with the penguins and Bert dancing like one of them. Such a special movie and message for people of all ages to enjoy!!

  6. Love Mary Poppins - Difficult to choose a favorite scene but if pressed, it would be the penquins dance.
