Frisco Kids Guide to Holiday Entertainment

There's a ton of great holiday entertainment options out there. I'll do a few posts of holiday entertainment, starting with this one.

Look for holiday shows on Goldstar, where you'll save 50% on ticket prices.

Cirque Dreams Holidaze

When: December 11-15
They have early start times (7 or 7:30 p.m.) and several matinees
Where: Curran Theater, SF
Tickets: here - $45-160 (Goldstar tickets are $60)
Info:  "An international cast of multi-talented and brilliantly costumed artists come to life and perform astonishing feats of disbelief: experience gingerbread men flipping mid-air, toy soldiers marching on thin wires, snowmen daringly balancing, icemen powerfully sculpting, penguins spinning, puppets dancing and reindeer soaring high above a landscape of holiday wonderment.  An original music score and some seasonal favorites accompany hundreds of astonishing costumes and holiday dreams in a setting of gigantic gifts, colossal candy canes and 30-foot towering soldiers, creating a wonderland of spectacle."

Beach Blanket Babylon Holiday Show
When: Wednesdays through Sundays, through December 31, 2013
Where: 678 Green Street, San Francisco
Tickets: get tickets here or by calling (415) 421-4817. Cost is $25-150 depending on location. Most tickets are $25-$56. The higher price are for premium seats.
Info: 21 and over only for evening shows. The holiday show features a chorus line of tap dancing Christmas trees, parodies of traditional Christmas carols, and a huge Yuletide hat.


Disney's Beauty and the Beast

When: December 21-January 5
They have early start times (7 or 7:30 p.m.) and several matinees
Where: Curran Theater, SF
Tickets: here - $45-160
Info: The classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress.  If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. It features the  animated film’s Academy Award®-winning score.
