Where: Downtown San Jose (parade starts at Santa Clara/Market St). Festival is at Discovery Meadow.
When: Sunday, May 1. Parade starts at 10, festival runs until 7 p.m.
What: Fair and parade
Cost: $2-$5 for the fair
EAST BAY
Where: Habitot in Berkeley (2065 Kittredge)
When: May 5 from 9:30 to 12:30
What: create Mexican paper flowers, decorate pottery, "shop" in the Mexican mercado (for fun, not purchase), story time.
Cost: regular admission ($9)
