It's great to teach the kids to give, not just get, during the holiday season. Here are some ideas on how to do that.
TOYS FOR TOTS
Many drop-off locations including
--Hillsdale Mall, San Mateo - December 1-22 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m. across from Bath and Body Works in lower level - new and used toys accepted)
--San Mateo Fire Stations - starting November 25th (new and used toys accepted)
--Caltrain Headquarters (1250 San Carlos Ave., San Carlos) through December 6
--Various locations/dates through San Bruno's Toys for Tots organization

Jewish Family & Children's Service
San Francisco Food Bank
ONE WARM COAT DRIVE
Donate your unneeded coats to those who do need them. Find a drop-off location at One Warm Coat.
SHELTER NETWORK
Adopt a family for the holidays, create a gift basket, hold a gift drive, prepare and serve holiday dinners, or just donate to help those trying to get back on their feet, through the Shelter Network.
PROJECT OPEN HAND

JEWISH VOLUNTEER DAY
