Dealf the Day: Picasso Exhibit at the deYoung

This is fabulous!

Get 3 VIP tickets to the Picasso exhibit at the deYoung Museum for $25. THREE TICKETS. That includes one adult and two youth tickets, so you can take your kiddies for some culture. I just taught a Picasso painting to my daughter's 4th grade class and they loved it. Many genres of painting plus sculpture - his style changed a lot during his lifetime. You want to get the kids really talking (and laughing)? Show them a Picasso nude. Yeah, we had fun discussing those - in class.

With the VIP tickets, you don't have to wait in line (major bonus). The exhibit is from the Musee National Picasso, Paris, which I've been to. Great museum. The deYoung exhibit runs through October 10, so you have plenty of time to use your discounted Picasso tickets. You can buy the deal through Sunday.I don't know if this code will work for SF, but try entering NYPlumMom at checkout and you might get 20% off.

If you want to do some reading ahead of time, get some Picasso books from the library. This is one that's a favorite of my kids', When Pigasso met Mootise, a kids' story about the relationship between Picasso and Matisse (in the story they're a pig and cow).

Other Picasso kids' books that are good (I'm sure they'll have plenty for sale in the gift shop, but...):
Picasso (Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists)
Picasso: Breaking all the Rules (Smart about Art)
Picasso and the Girl with the Ponytail
Paris in the Spring with Picasso
Who Was Pablo Picasso?
Oooh! Picasso!
Picasso and Minou
Let me know how it is!
