As the school year ends, it's time to start thinking about teacher gifts. Fortunately I'm not room parent this year, so I'm spared having to come up with the group gift idea. But last year, one of the moms made the teacher a photo book of the year, and it was stunning. There were pages covering various field trips and holiday celebrations. And each child had his/her own picture in there with a quote about their favorite part of the year.
The teacher cried when she got it, saying it was the best teacher gift she ever received. I don't think she was lying.
So there's an idea to consider. Of course it will take at minimum, a few hours to put together if you have all the photos in an organized place.
Shutterfly is offering a special deal right now, where if you order a book, you get up to 50 free photos. Or free shipping on orders more than $50. The free shipping code is SHIP50. There's no code for the free photos (50 free photos for the 12 x 12 book, and fewer photos for smaller books). The book must be ordered by 6/9/09. And Martha Stewart photo books are excluded.
A word of warning - this came from a targeted email to me and it may not work for all customers. Last time when I posted about a free Shutterfly book, it turns out it was only good for certain customers. I got my free book, and several told me they did too. But some only got a discount. So you've been warned.
